If you’ve ever wondered what makes a BBQ Night at Ballinluig so special, welcome! This is the first of many blogs where we’ll share what goes on behind the smoker, introduce the idea behind the food, and give you a taste of what you can expect when you join us.

At Ballinluig BBQ Nights, we believe the best memories are made around good food, good company and a relaxed atmosphere. Every Saturday evening Mike fires up the smoker and cooks authentic American-style BBQ low and slow, giving our brisket, pork and ribs the time they deserve.

But it’s about much more than the food.

We’ve created a place where families, friends and couples can switch off from busy lives and enjoy an evening together. There’s no rushing through courses or waiting for the bill—just a generous all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet, live music, outdoor games, a fire pit for toasting marshmallows and a welcoming Highland setting.

One of the questions we’re asked most often is why our meat tastes different. The answer is simple: time. Great BBQ can’t be rushed. Some of our briskets spend up to 14 hours in the smoker, allowing the smoke to work its magic and create the tender texture and rich flavour that authentic BBQ is famous for.

Every event is a little different too. We love introducing new specials, seasonal desserts and different whisky-inspired sauces, so there’s always something new to try.

This blog will take you behind the scenes, from explaining the smoking process and recipe ideas to event news, cooking tips and stories from our BBQ . Whether you’ve already visited us or are thinking about booking your first BBQ Night, we hope you’ll enjoy following the journey.

Thanks for stopping by, and we look forward to welcoming you to Ballinluig BBQ Nights soon.

See you around the smoker!

Mike & Jo
